What it does
- The M3 hub learns the infrared remotes of the TV, the projector and the soundbar and drives them from the app and from scenes.
- The 2-metre T1 LED strip, behind the TV or along a shelf, adjusts colour and brightness for mood lighting.
- The E1 curtain motor fits on a compatible track and opens or closes the curtains from the app, from a scene or by pulling the curtain by hand.
- The T1 Pro cube calls up a different scene for each gesture: turn it and the viewing scene starts, shake it and you are back to full light.
- A single “Film” scene closes the curtains, dims the lights and switches on the projector and the sound system.

How to install it
M3 hub and network. The M3 hub goes where it can see the TV, the projector and the soundbar, because infrared needs a clear line of sight: on a shelf facing the equipment, for example. Connect it to the home network and power it as the manufacturer states, then add it to the Aqara Home app and update the firmware before pairing anything else.
Curtains and LED strip. The E1 motor fits on the curtain track, which has to be one of the types the manufacturer lists as compatible: worth checking before you buy. The T1 LED strip sticks behind the TV or under a shelf, on a clean surface, and connects to its own power supply.
Infrared and cube. In the Aqara Home app you add the infrared remotes for the TV, the projector and the soundbar to the hub, either picking the model from the list or teaching the buttons one at a time. The T1 Pro cube pairs with the hub and is simply left on the coffee table: it needs no fixing. Test every learned button before using it in a scene.
App and pairing. Pair the LED strip, the curtain motor and the cube to the M3 hub one at a time, and put them all in the “Cinema” room. For the E1 motor, run the travel calibration so the curtain stops at the right positions. If you use Apple Home, enable the Matter bridge on the hub.
Recommended scenes. Three scenes cover nearly everything: “Film”, which closes the curtains, takes the LED strip down to minimum and switches on the projector and the sound system; “Pause”, which brings the light up a little; “End”, which turns off the infrared-controlled devices and opens the curtains again. They are assigned to the gestures of the T1 Pro cube in the Aqara Home app.
Contents verified. The T1 LED strip, the E1 curtain motor and the T1 Pro cube are Aqara devices and pair with the M3 hub, which also carries the infrared emitter for the TV, the projector and the audio system. No extra accessories are needed: the strip comes with its own power supply and the motor fits on the existing track, if compatible.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes, and it is included: the M3 hub coordinates the LED strip, the curtain motor and the cube, and controls the infrared appliances. It has to stay powered on at all times and in plain sight of the appliances it controls, because infrared does not pass through furniture and walls.
Does it work with Apple Home, Alexa and Google?
The main app is Aqara Home. The M3 hub works as a Matter bridge and brings the devices into Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and the other Matter-compatible ecosystems; Aqara also has an Alexa skill. Some advanced functions, such as the sensor settings, are only available in the Aqara Home app.
Do you need an electrician?
No: the hub, the LED strip and the curtain motor are powered from a socket, over USB or by battery depending on the model, and the cube is battery-powered. A drill is only needed if the curtain track has to be put up from scratch.
Will the motor suit my curtains?
The E1 track motor fits compatible tracks, as listed by the manufacturer, and moves sliding panel or wave curtains. It is not suitable for roller blinds or venetian blinds. Before ordering it is worth checking the type of track and the weight of the curtain; if in doubt, write to us from the contacts section.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Scenes stored on the hub and the cube's gestures keep working on the local network, infrared commands included. Control from outside the home and voice commands that go through the cloud services resume once the connection is back.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more curtain motors, lights, presence sensors or Aqara buttons can be added to the M3 hub, along with more infrared appliances such as the air conditioner. For a room with several windows, write to us from the contacts section.
Are batteries included?
The T1 Pro cube runs on a battery, normally already in the box as stated by the manufacturer. The E1 motor has a rechargeable battery, charged as the manufacturer indicates. The hub and the LED strip are mains powered.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
Write to us from the contact page quoting the kit code: we will point you to a compatible alternative, checked against the other devices just like the rest of the kit.
