The FoxESS Smart WiFi 5.0 USB (product code 30-302-00700-00) is the Wi-Fi monitoring dongle that connects the inverter to the home network and to the FoxESS Cloud platform. It plugs straight into the WIFI/4G/USB port on the bottom of the inverter, with no external power supply required.
Configuration is carried out through the built-in web interface, reachable at the address 192.168.1.1 after connecting to the network generated by the module (SSID in the W-xxxxxxx format, with the last 7 digits of the serial number). Two LEDs, red and green, indicate the connection status and data reception respectively. Once configured, the system can be viewed from the app and from the foxesscloud.com web portal.
