SolarEdge Home Backup Interface BI-NEUNU-3P-01 Three-Phase 3 × 100 A IP65
The SolarEdge Home Backup Interface three-phase (commercial code BI-NEUNU-3P-01, catalogue reference BI-EU3P) is the transfer unit that enables the emergency power supply function in SolarEdge photovoltaic systems with storage. It is installed on the wall, outdoors too thanks to its IP65 protection rating, between the exchange meter and the distribution board of the loads to be kept powered, and works together with the SolarEdge Home Hub three-phase or SolarEdge Nexis three-phase inverter.
When the grid is present, the interface lets energy flow through to the home and, thanks to its built-in energy meter (1.25% accuracy), measures the imported and exported flows for self-consumption management. When the grid fails, it disconnects the system from the distribution network and switches the supply of the loads over to the inverter and the battery in less than 3 seconds. The grid line and the backup load line are rated for 3 × 100 A; connection to the inverter is via RS485 and the system is compatible with TT, TN-S and TN-C-S networks.
