The Sigen Energy Gateway C&I C180-9 is the grid interface cabinet of Sigenergy storage systems for commercial and industrial applications. It is floor-mounted in the technical room or substation, between the energy delivery point and the array of SigenStor inverters/batteries: it manages up to 9 SigenStor units, for a rated alternating current power of 180 kW and a maximum storage capacity of 488.16 kWh.
The gateway performs the function of an automatic grid/island transfer switch (ATS): in the event of a grid failure it separates the system from the distribution network and lets it continue in island operation with a declared transfer time of 0 ms, with no perceptible interruption on the loads. The cabinet houses the circuit breakers of the inverter lines, the grid and island contactors, the manual bypass switch and the earth bar; also available are smart load management up to 180 kW and the integration of a generating set with 2-wire start. Communication is via Fast Ethernet, RS485 and dry contacts.
