Single-phase string inverters for grid-connected systems without a battery: the FoxESS S-G2 series at 2.5kW, 3kW and 3.3kW with one MPPT, AFCI arc detection and WiFi and LAN built in, and the Deye SUN-3.6K-G04P1 at 3.6kW with one MPPT, CEI 0-21 certification and IP65.

On a small domestic system the inverter is sized slightly under the peak power of the array: a DC to AC ratio between 1.1 and 1.25 adds useful hours and gives up almost nothing at the midday peaks.

AFCI is arc-fault protection on the DC side, one of the most frequent causes of fire on solar roofs: worth having even where it is not compulsory.
