What it does
- The SNZB-02P sensor measures the room's temperature and humidity and sends the readings to the Zigbee hub.
- When humidity goes above the threshold set, the S60ZBTPF socket switches the dehumidifier on.
- When humidity drops below a second threshold, the socket switches it off: no hours of pointless running.
- The socket meters the dehumidifier, so you can see how much it runs and what it costs.
- The history in the eWeLink app shows how humidity moves between day and night and from season to season.

How it is installed
Hub and network. The Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro hub goes near the home router, connected to Wi-Fi and to the eWeLink app, powered as the manufacturer advises. The mains-powered S60ZBTPF socket strengthens the Zigbee network: if the damp room is far from the hub, fit it first and check that it shows as online.
Humidity sensor. The SNZB-02P sensor goes in the room you want to protect, on the coldest wall or in the corner where mould appears, at mid height, away from the dehumidifier outlet and from radiators. It runs on a CR2477 button cell. Do not put it inside cupboards or behind furniture pushed up against the wall.
Socket and dehumidifier. The socket plugs into the wall socket and the dehumidifier into the smart socket. Check that the dehumidifier restarts on its own when the power comes back, as models with a mechanical switch or state memory do: if it does not, the socket cannot start it. Stay within the socket's maximum power.
App and pairing. In the eWeLink app pair the socket to the hub first, then the sensor, with the setup wizard. Put them in the same room. Switch the dehumidifier on and off from the app to check it restarts. Leave the sensor running for a day to see the usual readings before you pick the thresholds.
Recommended automations. Set up two scenes: humidity above 60-65 per cent, switch the socket on; humidity below 50-55 per cent, switch it off. The two different thresholds stop it cycling on and off. You can block it at night if the dehumidifier is noisy and set a notification if the humidity stays high for a long time.
Contents verified. The SNZB-02P sensor and the S60ZBTPF socket are Sonoff Zigbee devices compatible with the ZB Bridge Pro hub included and managed in the same eWeLink app, where the humidity reading drives the socket. The kit needs no accessories: there is no electrical work to do.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes, and it is included: the sensor and the socket are Zigbee and talk to the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro hub, which links them to the eWeLink app and to the house Wi-Fi. Without the hub they cannot be used.
Does it work with any dehumidifier?
It works with dehumidifiers that restart on their own when the power comes back. Many models with an electronic button stay off: check yours first by unplugging it and plugging it back in while it is running. A full tank still stops the appliance, as its own protections dictate.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The plug goes into the wall socket, the sensor is battery-powered and fixes with double-sided tape, the hub plugs into a socket: there is no 230V wiring to do and no special tools.
Does it work with Alexa or Google Home?
The eWeLink app offers integration with Alexa and Google Home as the manufacturer states, for example to switch the dehumidifier on by voice. For the automation between humidity and dehumidifier it is better to use eWeLink scenes.
What happens if there is no internet?
Scenes between devices on the same hub can be set to work locally, according to what eWeLink does, so the dehumidifier can carry on following the humidity. Without the line you cannot see the readings remotely and you get no notifications.
Are batteries included?
The SNZB-02P sensor takes a CR2477 button cell; check the Amazon listing to see whether it is already in the box. The charge level shows in the eWeLink app, so you know when to replace it. Socket and hub are mains powered.
Can I add more rooms?
Yes: you can pair more sensors and more sockets to the same hub, one pair for each room you want to protect. Get in touch through the contact page if you would rather drive an extractor fan or a ventilation unit than a dehumidifier.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
