What it does
- When somebody rings, the G410 sends the call to your phone and sounds the chime indoors: you see the caller in 2K and speak to them.
- The U200 lock is controlled through the G410, which acts as the Matter hub: from the app you lock or unlock even when you are not at home.
- The U200 also unlocks right at the door, with the methods the manufacturer provides, such as code, fingerprint and app.
- Callers and events at the door are recorded on the 64GB microSD included.
- The Aqara Home app shows the lock's state and the log of who came in and when.
- With Matter, the video door entry unit and the lock can also appear in Apple Home, Alexa or Google Home, depending on the features supported.

How it is installed
Video door entry and hub. The G410 goes to one side of the door, about 1.4 m off the ground, facing whoever arrives and sheltered from driving rain if possible. Power it as the manufacturer specifies, on batteries or from an existing doorbell's wires, and check the Wi-Fi reaches that spot properly. Since it acts as the hub for the lock, the door has to be close by.
U200 lock. The U200 is fitted to the door with the euro cylinder, following the manufacturer's instructions and sizes: before buying, check the door thickness and the cylinder type. It is a job for a confident DIYer: the cylinder has to come out, the inner and outer parts have to be fitted, and the mechanical key has to be checked to make sure it still works.
Chime and storage. The chime plugs into a socket indoors, somewhere it is clearly heard, the hallway for example. Put the kit's 64GB SanDisk High Endurance microSD in the video entry unit: the G410 comes with no memory and a card made for continuous writing stands up better to recording every day.
App and pairing. In the Aqara Home app add the G410 first, joining it to the Wi-Fi, then the U200 lock, choosing the G410 as the hub. Register the family's fingerprints and codes, give each one a name and try unlocking from the app while out of Wi-Fi range. If you use Apple Home, Alexa or Google, add the devices with Matter.
Recommended automations. Set the lock to close automatically when the door shuts, and a notification whenever someone comes in with a code or a fingerprint. When someone rings while you are out, answer from your phone and, if it is a family member or a courier you trust, open the door from the app. Create temporary codes for guests and staff.
Contents verified. The U200 lock connects to the G410 video door entry unit, which has a built-in Matter hub: no separate hub is needed for remote access. Before you order
Do you need a hub?
There is no need to buy one separately: the G410 video door entry unit has the Matter hub built in, and that links the U200 lock to the app and to the internet. This is why it is best to have the video door entry unit and the lock close together, on the same front door.
Does it work with Alexa, Google and Apple?
Yes, through Matter: the video door entry unit and the lock can be added to Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home, with the functions each platform supports. Some things, such as the lock settings and the recordings, are only handled in the Aqara Home app.
Will the lock work on my door?
The U200 fits doors with a euro cylinder, within the sizes the manufacturer states. Before buying, check the door thickness, how far the cylinder projects and the type of lock. If in doubt, send us a photo through the contact page and we will check.
Do you need an electrician?
No, as long as the video door entry unit runs on batteries or off the wires of an existing low-voltage doorbell. If a new 230V connection is needed, for a transformer for example, it must be made by qualified personnel with the installation isolated.
What happens if there is no internet?
The lock still opens at the door with the local methods provided, a code or a fingerprint for example, and the mechanical key is always there. Without internet, though, the video entry calls do not reach your phone and you cannot unlock from away.
Are batteries included?
The lock runs on batteries as the manufacturer specifies, stating the type and whether they are in the box. The video entry unit can run on batteries too. The charge level is checked in the Aqara Home app, which warns in good time.
Can I add devices?
Yes: you can pair other compatible Aqara devices to the G410, a door sensor to tell you whether it is shut or a motion sensor by the entrance, for example. For a gate or a communal entrance door, get in touch: we will tell you which module to use.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
