Italian detached house kit with a Shelly Pro board: lights, roller shutters and energy metering
Three DIN-rail Shelly Pro 2PM units switch six lighting circuits or three roller shutters, the Shelly Pro 3EM measures consumption and the LAN switch wires everything back to the router. It is built for detached houses where the board is being rebuilt or extended: the controls stay on the existing push-buttons, with the app, schedules and voice assistants added on top.

What it does
- Each Shelly Pro 2PM has two channels: it drives two lighting lines or, in roller shutter mode, one motor up and down.
- The existing wall buttons wire to the module inputs and keep working even with no network.
- Each channel measures the power drawn: you can see how much a lighting line uses or how long a shutter takes to travel.
- The Shelly Pro 3EM, with its current clamps, measures the whole-house load or three separate circuits.
- The 5-port LAN switch in the board wires the Pro modules together and carries the network back to the house router.
- In the Shelly app you set schedules, scenes such as "all down" in the evening and consumption alerts.

How it is installed
Board and network. The electrician fits the two 12-module surface consumer units next to the existing board or in its place: the kit's eleven DIN modules fit with room to spare. The LAN switch goes in the board and is connected to the router with the 10 m Cat6 cable; the 1 m cables link the switch to the Pro modules. All 230V work is done with the power off, by qualified personnel.
Pro 2PM modules. Each Shelly Pro 2PM takes live and neutral and feeds two lighting lines or a roller shutter motor, with up and down on the two outputs. The module inputs go to the existing wall switches, which stay the main control. Decide beforehand which lines go on which modules and label every output, so the setup in the app is straightforward.
Metering and wiring. The Shelly Pro 3EM is supplied inside the board and the current clamps close around the cables to be measured: the main incomer or three separate circuits, as the manufacturer sets out. The crimp ferrules are for terminating the conductors in the module terminals, the Wago 221 connectors for tidy joints inside the board.
App and pairing. You install the Shelly app, create the account and add one module at a time: being wired, the Pro modules show up on the home network. For each Pro 2PM you choose the mode, two switches or roller shutter, and for the shutters you run the travel calibration. Give rooms and outputs clear names.
Recommended automations. Roller shutters down at sunset and up in the morning, outside lights on a schedule, every light off with a single command as you leave. With the Pro 3EM you set a notification when consumption goes over a threshold, handy for keeping the main breaker from tripping. Voice assistants are linked through the Shelly integrations from the app.
Contents verified. The three Shelly Pro 2PM units, the Pro 3EM and the LAN switch are all DIN-rail and talk to each other in the Shelly app, with no hub. Included: two 12-module enclosures (11 DIN modules plus spare ways), crimp ferrules for wiring inside the board, Wago 221 connectors for the connections, five 1 m Cat6 leads for the links inside the board and a 10 m cable for the run to the router.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
No. The Shelly Pro modules connect to the home network through the LAN switch included and the router, and are managed from the Shelly app. There is no coordinator to buy: the home router, not included, is the connection point for the whole panel.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes, with the Shelly integrations you switch on in the app: the lights and roller shutters show up in the voice assistant and are controlled by voice. What you get depends on the assistant's integration; schedules, scenes and consumption figures stay in the Shelly app.
Do you need an electrician?
Yes. The whole kit goes in the 230V distribution board: modules, enclosures, measuring clamps and the push-button wiring. The connections must be made by qualified personnel with the installation isolated, and it is worth doing them at the same time as any rework of the board.
What happens if there is no internet?
The wall buttons carry on controlling the lights and the roller shutters, because they are wired straight to the modules. The modules also stay reachable on the local network as long as the router is on. Without internet you lose control from away and the voice assistants.
Can I add devices?
Yes. The enclosures have spare ways and the switch has free ports for more Pro modules. Flush-mounted Shelly Wi-Fi devices can be added in the rooms as well; they appear in the same app and work in the same scenes.
Does the Pro 3EM work on a single-phase installation too?
Yes: besides three-phase measurement, the manufacturer states it can measure three separate single-phase circuits, the main supply, the hob and the heat pump for example. The configuration is chosen in the app at first start-up.
What if a product is out of stock on Amazon?
