The water-resistant Blue Smart charger has built-in Bluetooth, allowing you to monitor battery status and configure its settings from your smartphone using VictronConnect.

Fully encapsulated: water-resistant, shockproof and flame-retardant

The Blue Smart IP67 is protected against water, oil and dirt. Its housing is made from cast aluminium, with the electronics fully encapsulated in resin.

Outstanding efficiency

With efficiency of 92% or more, these chargers set a new industry standard, producing only a third to a quarter of the heat of typical chargers. Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption falls below one watt—five to ten times lower than the industry standard.

5-stage adaptive charging: bulk – absorption – reconditioning – float – storage

The Blue Smart charger uses a microprocessor-controlled adaptive charging system that automatically adjusts the charging process to suit how the battery is used.

Storage mode reduces maintenance and battery ageing during periods of inactivity

Storage mode starts when the battery has not been discharged for 24 consecutive hours. The float voltage is then reduced to 2.2 V per cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimise positive plate corrosion. Once a week, the voltage returns to the absorption level to equalise the battery's state of charge. This helps prevent electrolyte stratification and sulphation, two major causes of premature battery ageing.

Also suitable for LiFePO₄ batteries

LiFePO₄ batteries are charged using a straightforward constant-current – absorption – float algorithm.

Thermal protection

The charger can operate in hot environments such as engine rooms. Above 60°C, output current is reduced while charging continues.

• Yellow LED: bulk charging (fast flashing), absorption (slow flashing), float (steady), storage (off)
• Green LED: power on
