The SolarEdge S1000 power optimizer is an S-Series DC/DC converter for commercial and industrial PV installations. Connected to a single module, it performs maximum power point tracking independently of the other panels in the string, recovering the energy otherwise lost to shading, soiling, differences in orientation and mismatch between modules.
This version (XMBT suffix) is fitted with a 1.3 m input cable and a 4.7 m positive output cable, suited to mounting the optimizer on the supporting structure and to the module-skipping connections typical of warehouse rooftop arrays. The connections use MC4 connectors. The optimizer enables module-by-module production monitoring on the SolarEdge ONE platform and SafeDC safety, with automatic reduction of the string voltage to about 1 V per optimizer when the inverter is switched off.
