The SolarEdge S1200 power optimizer is the S-Series DC/DC converter dedicated to commercial and industrial installations with high-power, high-current PV modules. Connected to a single module, it tracks its maximum power point independently: partial shading, soiling, differences in orientation or the ageing of one panel no longer reduce the output of the entire string.
This version (4MBV suffix) has a short 0.1 m input cable, for mounting the optimizer directly under the module, and a positive output cable of approximately 5.4 m to reach the next module. The connections use MC4 connectors. Like the whole SolarEdge range, it offers production monitoring of each individual module on the SolarEdge ONE platform and the SafeDC safety function, which brings the voltage of each optimizer back to about 1 V when the inverter is switched off.
