Fox ESS EQ4800 4.66kWh High Voltage Master LiFePO4 Battery Module
The Fox ESS EQ4800 is the master module of the EQ high voltage storage system: it runs the stack and handles the dialogue with the hybrid inverter, over CAN or RS485. In a solar installation it sets aside the energy generated during the day and returns it in the evening, or when the grid goes down.
The master never works alone: a stack needs at least 2 modules, a master plus one slave, and tops out at 9 modules in series — one master and eight slaves — for 41.94kWh in total. Mounting is plug and play: modules stack and click together with no wiring to prepare, which cuts installation time.
The cells are lithium iron phosphate with a declared depth of discharge of 90%. The module delivers 2330W continuously, 4460W for five minutes and peaks at 5785W for fifteen seconds. The permitted temperature range is wide. When adding modules to an EQ stack already in service, compatibility with the existing modules must be checked. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or technician, in line with local wiring regulations.
