The Huawei LUNA2000-5-E1 is the 5 kWh battery module of Huawei's new generation of storage, the LUNA2000-S1 series. It is paired with the LUNA2000-10KW-C1 power module and makes it possible to build the LUNA2000-5-S1 (1 module, 5 kWh), 10-S1 (2 modules, 10 kWh) and 15-S1 (3 modules, 15 kWh) systems; up to 4 systems can also be connected in parallel. It is the counterpart of the 6.9 kWh LUNA2000-7-E1 module of the same family.
The cells are lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4). The maximum charge and discharge power is 3.5 kW with a single module and reaches 10.5 kW in the three-module configuration. The voltage range is 350-560 V in single-phase systems and 600-980 V in three-phase ones. The module measures 590 x 255 x 360 mm, weighs 68 kg, is IP66 certified and operates from -20 to +55 °C up to an altitude of 4,000 m. Communication takes place via RS485, FE and CAN with the Huawei inverters of the SUN2000 and SUN5000 series; mounting is on the floor with the standard bracket or on the wall as an option.
