This is the replacement cartridge for the SMA DC-SPD KIT4-10 DC surge arrester, the Type 1+2 protection kit fitted to Sunny Tripower CORE1 inverters.
After a discharge the cartridge is spent and must be replaced: it is exactly the part you cannot find when you need it, because distributors usually sell only the complete kit. Keeping one or two in stock means putting the system back in service in half an hour instead of two weeks. The base is not included: this item is the insert only.
