RCCB Noark 108362 Ex9L-N 4P 40 A 30 mA Type A
The Noark 108362 is a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the Ex9L-N range in a four-pole version, with rated current 40 A and rated residual current 30 mA Type A. It takes up 4 modules on the DIN rail and has a rated conditional short-circuit current of 6 kA.
It is installed in three-phase distribution boards (3 phases + neutral) and, thanks to the high-sensitivity 30 mA threshold, it offers additional protection of people against direct contact as well as protection against indirect contact. Type A guarantees tripping even with pulsating unidirectional leakage currents, those typical of inverters, switching power supplies, washing machines and appliances with power electronics; this is why it is the minimum recommended choice in boards supplying electronic loads. Operation is independent of the mains voltage. Being a pure residual current device, it does not offer protection against overload and short circuit: it must be coordinated with miniature circuit breakers downstream or upstream.
