Noark 108411 Ex9L-N Selective RCCB 4P 63 A 300 mA Type A S

The Noark 108411 is a pure residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) of the Ex9L-N series in a four-pole selective version: rated current 63 A, rated residual current 300 mA, Type A with S characteristic (selective, time-delayed tripping). It takes up 4 modules on the DIN rail, with a conditional short-circuit current of 6 kA.

The S characteristic introduces an intentional delay in tripping, so that in the event of an earth fault the high-sensitivity residual current device installed downstream trips first: it is therefore the correct device to use as the main residual current device in a two-level selective protection structure, where the 30 mA devices protect the individual lines and the 300 mA selective device provides back-up protection and protection against the risk of fire caused by earth fault currents. Thanks to selectivity, a fault on a final circuit does not put the entire installation out of service. Type A also detects pulsating unidirectional leakage currents. Being a pure RCCB, it does not protect against overload and short circuit.
