DC Combiner Box 1000 V with Dehn Type 2 SPD for 2 Strings and 2 MPPT
The DC combiner box is installed on the DC side of the photovoltaic system, between the module strings and the inverter inputs. It is wired for two independent strings on two separate MPPT inputs, so that each one can work at its own maximum power point even with roof pitches of different orientation or tilt.
Surge protection is provided by a Dehn Type 2 surge arrester for photovoltaics rated for 1000 V DC. Dehn arresters in the photovoltaic range use pluggable discharge modules with an integrated short-circuiting and disconnection device (SCI), a combination of thermal disconnector and short-circuit switch that prevents direct current arcs from striking even at the end of the varistor's service life. The front status indicator shows at a glance when a module needs replacing.
