The Fronius DC SPD Type 1+2 GEN24 (item code 4,240,313,CK) is the surge protection kit for the direct current side to be installed inside the connection compartment of Fronius GEN24 inverters. It protects the photovoltaic system from damage caused by direct and indirect lightning strikes, combining the performance of type 1 and type 2 in a single device.
The kit covers both MPPT inputs of the inverter and is compatible with all power sizes of Fronius Symo GEN24 and Fronius Primo GEN24. The rated voltage is 1,000 V DC, with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 1,200 V DC. As an upgrade kit, it can also be fitted to inverters that have already been installed, without additional external protection boards.
