Pylontech Split-Core Current Transformer for Force H3X Systems
This Pylontech current clamp, the CT supplied for Force H3X systems, is the sensor that tells the installation how much current is flowing at the grid connection point. Without that reading the system cannot tell import from export, and cannot match charging and discharging to what the house is actually doing.
It is a split core: open it, pass the live conductor through, click it shut. Nothing is cut and the house supply never goes down, which makes it just as suitable for retrofitting onto a board already in service. The two signal wires then run to the input provided on the system electronics.
It has to go on the right cable the right way round, downstream of the meter and upstream of the loads, because the sign of the reading depends on how the clamp faces: work for a qualified electrician, on a board made safe first. It weighs 100g and needs no supply of its own.
