Kostal PLENTICOIN Physical Card for Product Extensions EU excl. Germany

The Kostal PLENTICOIN is the single-purpose voucher used to unlock product extensions on Kostal inverters and EV chargers. It is not a spare part: it is credit spent in the KOSTAL Solar Webshop to switch on a function in a device that is already installed, with no change of hardware.

Three extensions can be called up with PLENTICOINs: the battery function, which enables storage management on the inverter; the power extension, which raises the unit output; and the comfort function. How many PLENTICOINs an extension takes depends on the extension and the model, and is set out in the Kostal documentation.

This is the analogue version, a sealed card, issued for the EU excl. Germany market. The card comes in three regional variants (Germany, the rest of the European Union and non-EU) and this is the one for EU countries other than Germany, Italy included. For tax reasons a PLENTICOIN card can only be redeemed in the region it was issued for. Product extensions applied through an activation code change device parameters that affect how the installation runs, which is why PLENTICOINs are to be redeemed by installers only.
