The Anker SOLIX V1 Smart EV Charger at 22kW is a home charge point for three-phase supplies, built to make charging cheaper rather than simply to deliver current. It reads electricity price windows and shifts the session to the hours that cost least, cutting a meaningful slice off the yearly bill of anyone who charges at home overnight.

This version carries a Type 2 socket on the front: you plug in the cable that came with the car, which stays on board, and the unit has nothing hanging from it when idle. It is the usual pick for bays used by several different vehicles, since every driver brings their own cable.

The charger works alongside a PV array so the car can run on self-generated energy, and it handles dynamic load balancing together with overload protection, keeping the charging current in step with what the house is drawing. Control runs through the app, locally or remotely, with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and RS485 available for the link. The IP55 and IK10 enclosure takes outdoor mounting, noise stops at 30dB, and the unit is designed for wall fixing on masonry or timber. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
