The Fox ESS A Series EV Charger is an 11kW three-phase charge point for homes and small businesses, supplied with a tethered 6-metre Type 2 cable: you park, plug into the car and the session begins, with no cable to lift out of the boot. It suits anyone who charges in the same place every day — at home, at the office or in a reserved bay.
What sets this version apart is how it talks to the rest of the installation. Dynamic load balancing reads what the building is already drawing and trims the charging current in real time, so the main breaker stays put even when other loads come on. Solar linkage lets the car take the energy the panels are producing instead of exporting it. Charging windows can be scheduled too, to make use of cheaper tariff hours.
Connectivity is comprehensive: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and 4G, with OCPP 1.6J or OCPP 2.0.1 for integration into fleet management and billing platforms. Compared with the unit it replaces, this revision adds a LAN port and single/three-phase switching. An IP55 and IK08 enclosure allows outdoor mounting. On installations built around a Fox ESS inverter it pairs with a DTSU666 meter — single or dual version depending on the layout — and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
