Three soil moisture sensors push into the pots and tell your phone when a plant is thirsty. You set each plant its own threshold, because a fern and a cactus do not drink the same way. It is run from the eWeLink app, with Alexa and Google too, with the Sonoff Zigbee bridge included.
What it does
- The three Sonoff MS01 sensors push into the soil and measure the moisture around the roots.
- When the reading drops below the threshold you set for that plant, a notification arrives: time to water.
- The app shows the trend over time and tells you how many days it takes the plant to dry out.
- You can avoid overwatering too: if the soil stays very wet for days, you know you are watering too much.
- The sensors are IP55 and shrug off splashes from watering.

Before you order
Do you need a hub?
Yes: the Sonoff Zigbee devices talk to the ZB Bridge Pro included in the kit, which links them to the home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and to the eWeLink app. Without the bridge the sensors do not work. The bridge can take further Sonoff sensors later on.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes, through the eWeLink app: you link the eWeLink account to the Alexa skill or to the Google Home app and the devices show up there, ready for routines and for asking the readings by voice. With Apple Home there is no direct integration we can guarantee for every item in the kit.
Do you need an electrician?
No. The sensors are battery-powered and push into the potting soil, the bridge runs off a USB power supply in any socket. There is nothing to connect to the electrical installation.
Does it water on its own?
No, this kit measures and warns: you do the watering, when the notification arrives. To water balcony or terrace plants automatically you add an irrigation timer on the tap; for indoor plants, get in touch through the contact page.
What happens if there is no internet?
The sensors keep measuring, but without internet you get no notifications and cannot see the values from away. Some scenes can stay live locally on the bridge, as the manufacturer describes. When the line is back the data starts reaching the app again.
Are batteries included?
The MS01 sensors are battery-powered: the type, and whether it is in the box, are stated by the manufacturer on the Amazon listing. The charge level shows in eWeLink, and the sensor warns you when it is low.
Can I add devices?
Yes: more MS01 sensors for other plants, a temperature and humidity sensor for the room or an irrigation timer for the balcony. The bridge handles plenty of Sonoff Zigbee devices in the same app.

An item can go out of stock or change version. Get in touch through the contact page quoting the kit code: we will point you to an alternative that works with the other devices and with the coordinator, so the kit stays complete and performs as intended.
