Mersen gBat fuse 1000V DC
The only NH fuse tested to the standard written for battery circuits
IEC 60269-7 · 100kA breaking capacity · 50A to 250A
The gBat is the NH fuse link tested to IEC 60269-7, the standard written specifically for battery circuits. It is not a photovoltaic fuse pressed into service: it is qualified on the prospective short-circuit currents a lithium bank can really deliver and on the L/R time constants of those circuits, which are far longer than those of a solar string.
The difference reads in one line: 100kA breaking capacity at 1000V DC on the NH1 and NH2 sizes, against the 20kA of an NH gPV of the same format. It is the protection you fit when the bank is large, the specification is serious, or both.
Two contact versions, and the difference matters
The gBat exists with plain blades and with bolted blades. The plain-blade version is the classic NH: it clips into the contacts of a fuse base. The bolted-blade version bolts straight onto the busbar or onto the terminals, with no base, and it is the one that solves the usual problem of compact storage boards, where an NH base simply does not fit. Tell us which one you need when you ask for a quote.
